Serve Emerson Chapel

Unitarian Universalism is a tradition rooted in the practice of "transforming ourselves, our community, and our world." In this spirit, we have opportunities to transform ourselves through service to congregational life at Emerson Chapel.

MESH teams ("Making Each Sunday Happen") - Our MESH teams are made up of both members and friends, and each team pitches in once every four weeks to help set up Emerson Chapel's worship space at Barat Academy, where Emerson Chapel worships on Sundays mornings. Contact: Nancy Fish.

Teaching Religious Education - Emerson Chapel has a strong tradition of creating meaningful opportunities for all age groups to grow spiritually through participation in religious education class and events. These religious education classes and events, however, rely largely on volunteers, who might serve on the Children's Religious Education team, the Adult Religious Education team, or simply help teach or prepare for individual classes. Contacts: PJ Pyrchla and Becky Langrall (Children's Religious Education), Marilyn Ortinau and Karyl Howard (Adult Religious Education).
